Calling all music/arts/TV/food critics! Get involved with Review Our Reviews!

by A Wannabe Hack

We’re looking for talented writers to contribute to our ‘Review Our Reviews’ series!

Over the past few months, since The Maverick has been on board, Wannabe Hacks have been dragged from their comfort zone of hard news and forced to try a very different form of journalism, the review.

We’ve dabbled a few different topics, the opening 10 o’clock Live show, the last Streets album and Jamie Woon’s debut record. And on each occasion, we asked for some feedback from you guys to help us improve. And some enlightening comments we got too so thanks for that.

Now we’re broadening out and asking you guys to send in reviews. So if you’re a budding reviewer or critic, why not send in 250 words on the latest book/ concert/ restaurant/ art gallery/ exhibition/ whatever really! We’ll put it up and people can give you some constructive feedback on what you did well and what you could improve on.

We’ll even try and get some pros to take a look at your post so you’re learning from the best! And obviously it’s a great way to showcase your work if you intend to become a reviewer or critic in the future!

So get in touch if there’s anything you want to review in the coming weeks (the more recent it is, the better ie no Da Vinci Code reviews!) – email maverick@wannabehacks.co.uk with suggestions and we can go from there. Looking forward to reading your reviews.
